On February 24^th, the Company held the Year 2016 Annual Work Conference at Quanzhou Office Building. The meeting summarized the work accomplished in 2016, analyzed domestic and international situations and challenges, made full deployment of 2017 objectives and tasks, and achieved alignment on the action plans and priorities of next step. It engaged all employees in making joint efforts to complete annual objectives and tasks with clear mindset and strong commitment to job responsibility and work, thus to lay a good foundation for the Company to be a world-class petrochemical company with sustainable competitiveness.

The Company management Mr. Gu Yuefeng, Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf, Mr. Joost Emmen, Mr. Yang Hongbin and Mr. Liu Yanchang presented the meeting. General Managers and Deputy General Managers of each department, Manager and employee representatives of each business team/ functional groups attended the meeting. Vice President Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, President Mr. Gu Yuefeng delivered the work report titled New Thinking, New Breakthrough, New Height. He summarized the performance and accomplishments of the Company in 2016, analyzed the highlights and problems/ gaps in 2016. For the challenges in 2017, he pointed out that there are increased challenges and risks caused by the changes of external environment, and the urgency and difficulty of internal quality/ profit improvement are more outstanding. He emphasized that we shall be aware of the advanced/ positive factors with strong confidence while in faced with challenges and difficulties. He also made deployment for the objectives and action plans in 2017 in the work report. He stressed on 1) continuously improve HSE performance; 2) pay attention to reliability; 3) fully explore market; 4) further conduct optimization and improvement; 5) realize cost reduction.

Vice President Mr. Joost Emmen delivered the report titled Leadership to Advance Safety & Reliability.

Operation General Manager Mr. Liu Yanchang announced the Decision on Awarding the Outstanding Teams/ Employees in 2016. At the meeting, three cross-functional working teams were awarded as the Outstanding Teams including the Team for Implementation of LTAG and MHUG Technology and Reduction of Diesel/ Gasoline Ratio, the Cross-functional Team for Marketing Information Sharing and Supply Chain Coordination and the Team for Development of New PP/ PE Products. Ten individuals were awarded as the Outstanding Employees including Liu Yongmin, Huang Xiaobin, Chen Yuhui, Huang Liqun, Liu Jiazhang, Liu Zhi’an, Liu Xin, Wang Jun, Li Xingshun and Gong Zhiyan. The Best Popularity Award was awarded to Yang Kunsong. Five Individuals were awarded as the Outstanding Employee Award Nominations including Lin Xishan, Zhang Pengfei, Zheng Shuang, Zeng Youyuan and Chen Linhai.

The breakout discussions further understood the contents of the work report, including the accomplishments and gaps in 2016, the situations and challenges in 2017. Meeting representatives achieved alignment in the objectives/ tasks in 2017, the key focus areas, work priorities and measures for improving quality/ profit, as well as further increased the sense of responsibility and urgency, and made commitment to fulfill responsibilities and make contributions to the completion of annual objectives/ tasks.
