Recently, FREP won the Title of National “Pace-setter Enterprise” in Energy Efficiency in 2016. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, National Development and Reform Commission, and General Administration of Quality Supervision and Inspection organized and implemented the selection of “Pace-setter” in energy efficiency. According to the recommendation by local and industry associations, data integrity review, review of industry associations and expert review, in 2016, companies from ethylene, ammonia, cement, plate glass and aluminum industry are shortlisted and a list of “Pace-setter Enterprises” is determined.

FREP is one of the four shortlisted nationwide large-scale petrochemical enterprises and is listed among the 2016 “Pace-setter Enterprises” in Energy Efficiency in the ethylene industry. The selection of “Pace-setter Enterprises” in Energy Efficiency is subject to higher standards, and so the government will give industry incentives (energy subsidies, renovation incentives and project EIA, etc.). In the next step, “Pace-setter Enterprise” can enjoy benefits in the aspect of energy-saving targets allocated by the government, future carbon trading, VOC emissions and costs, simplified examination and approval of new projects and energy conservation.

It is reported that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the National Development and Reform Commission, General Administration of Quality Supervision and Inspection plan to invite important national central media in the near future, for holding press releases for all “Pace-setter Enterprises” and shortlisted companies from five major industries, and organize publicity and training for all “Pace-setter Enterprises” and shortlisted companies from five major industries through television, newspapers, Internet, etc.. Such act will further promote the construction of corporate culture, enhance the visibility and reputation of FREP throughout the petrochemical industry, and shape the FREP brand image. (Xiao Wanyuan)
