A Journey of Revolutionary Tradition Education for Party Member Representatives

In the middle of August, the party committee of the company sent the “one advanced and two excellent” party member representatives in three groups to Ruijin, Jiangxi and Gutian, Fujian for revolutionary tradition education, under the leadership of company leaders Gu Yuefeng, Chen Xiaobo, Liu Xiangdong, Yang Hongbin, Liu Yanchang, Hu Hongye, Li Siyang and Chen Feishan.

At Shazhouba town, Ruijin city, the representatives visited the historical site where the Second National Congress of the Communist Party of China was convened, namely the then auditorium of the Provisional Central Government of Chinese Soviet Republic, as well as the headquarter of the PCGCSR and the former residence of Chairman Mao, where they had a taste of the fresh and sweet water from the “red well” that was excavated under the call of Chairman Mao who broke the superstitious belief that digging well may bring disasters to the place. Then they went to Yeping town, where they paid a visit to the historical site where the First National Congress of Chinese Soviet Republic of Workers, Peasants and Soldiers was convened, and the Red Army Martyrs Monument as well. A simple yet solemn memorial was held before the monument, during which a basket of flower was presented at the monument and the party members recited party admission oath in an atmosphere of solemnity and reverence. With the forceful and touching words of oath echoing in their mind, everyone had an increased sense of honor, responsibility and mission as a party member.

After that, they visited the former offices of Mao Zedong and Chen Yi at Gutian historical site. Touched by the hardships reflected from the simple style of the offices, a feeling of admiration and reverence arose from the bottom of their heart. When further exposed to the loads of priceless and rare historical records, pictures and articles, no one was not shocked and refreshed, but proclaiming what trials and tribulations had our predecessors experienced to win the victory of Chinese revolution.

Singing revolutionary songs was another enthusiastic activity during the journey. The education activities not only purified the soul of the party members, but also increased their confidence and proud for devoting to the great cause of China’s reform and opening up.

During the education journey, the party members were not only mentally purified, but also had their vision broadened, knowledge enriched and patriotic spirit elevated. They all pledged to carry forward the spirit of our revolutionary predecessors and work hard in the future so as to make contribution for the scientific development of the company. (Xiao Wanyuan)
