Employee Innovation Studio Inaugurated
On May 5, the inauguration ceremony of the Employee Innovation Studio was held in Rm. 610 of the office building. Leaders of the company, Chen Xiaobo and Yang Hongbin, unveiled the Studio together, and heads and technical experts of Process Department, Technical & Planning Department, Office of Party Committee and Union, Human Resources & Administration Department, etc. attended the ceremony.
The Secretary of the Party Committee of the company, Chen Xiaobo, made a speech on the ceremony. He said that the establishment of the Employee Innovation Studio is an important measure of the company’s labor union to focus on the center, serve the overall situation and enhance the innovation capability coping with New Normal. The Employee Innovation Studio shall focus on technical problems of each post, organize to make technological breakthrough, enhance the cultivation of talents, carry out innovation activities and expand the exchange of know-how. Meanwhile, the Employee Innovation Studio shall lay emphasis on cultivating the hard working spirits, exploration and innovation as occupational qualities and the rigorous and excelsior working style of employees, so as to build a team spirit that unites as one and advances despite difficulties. He emphasized that the establishment of the Employee Innovation Studio is significant and involves important duties. We shall steadily promote the founding work of the Studio, and work hard to build an innovation platform, set up a team of talents, promote a batch of innovation projects, and create a series of innovation achievements, to make more contributions to the implementation of the innovation oriented strategy, the realization of quality and efficiency improvement and the technological development of the company.
The Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the company, Yang Hongbin, pointed out that the Employee Innovation Studio shall focus on the central tasks of production and operation, pay close attention to the long-term safe, stable, full-capacity and optimal operation of the unit, and carry out work to create innovation and efficiency; further stimulate the members of the Studio and promote their spirit of innovation, to make them be brave in exploration and innovation; summarize the experiences and practices accumulated during the work of all employees to carry out innovation and exploration. He wished that the Process Department, Technical & Planning Department, etc. shall strongly support the work of the Employee Innovation Studio, so that members of the Studio can concentrate on tackling key problems, strive for actual effects, examine effects during working practice, create higher values, and make greater contribution to quality and efficiency improvement of the company.
The head of the Employee Innovation Studio is Wu Liangjiang, an energy management engineer of the production operation management group of the Process Department, and its members include 16 technical experts from the Process Department, Technical & Planning Department, etc. The work of the Employee Innovation Studio will be oriented to and focus on serving the plant operation, improving the process technology, tackling difficulties in production and realizing cost reduction and efficiency improvement, and its innovation activities will include making technological breakthrough, technological transformation, technological cooperation, technical invention, etc., to build a platform for employees to carry out determined innovation and solve difficult problems and a platform to give play to their roles and talents, to make contributions to the quality and efficiency improvement of the company.
In 2016, the Employee Innovation Studio will mainly focus on nine innovation and key research projects, including the research of sample heater, thermal insulation of HP and ultra high pressure steam pipelines, fine management of steam trap, etc., to make contributions to the quality and efficiency improvement of the company.
In the future, Employee Innovation Studios will be established based on five criteria, i.e. technical head, workplace, work system, project planning and result and benefit, and one can be set up as long as the conditions permit, to try to build the studios into a study, innovation and training base, promote and lead the employees to develop into knowledgeable, skillful and innovative experts through technical training, technical exchange, apprentice training by top teachers, etc., and make the studios become the fertile soil of the company to cultivate pioneers and talents and a platform for growth and progress of employees.
