On April 6^th, 2016, Mr. Paul Masschelin, ExxonMobil Chief Auditor, Madam Patricia Bost, ExxonMobil China Business Services Manager & Controller and Mr. Dave Rodee, ExxonMobil Asia-Pacific Area Audit Manager visited FREP.

FREP Chairman and President Mr. Gu Yuefeng, and Vice President Mr. Parut Chatikavanij welcomed Mr. Paul Masschelin and his accompanies, and the two sides had a friendly communication.

Mr. Gu introduced FREP’s performance with respect to safety, environmental protection, production operations and financial results. The introduction included discussions on OIMS implementation, FREP obtaining L-1 safety standardization certificate, good accomplishment of 2015 turnaround, increasing requirements of environmental protection enforced by the government, reduction of crude oil/ material inventory, increase of products sales and development of company culture.  Mr. Gu also commented that FREP will continuously improve operations, to create greater shareholders value and make full efforts to recover the cumulative loss of the company within three years.

Mr. Paul Masschelin recognized the improvements in FREP’s operational and financial performance.  He expressed great appreciation of FREP’s control governance, sighting the active engagement of the Internal Control Committee (ICC) and use of department control representatives to promote ownership of controls at the business level.  He recommended that FREP adopt a more aggressive job rotation strategy for auditors to further expand control knowledge within the organization.  During the meeting, Mr. Paul Masschelin also asked in detail about the implementation of safety programs and the equitable application of environmental emission standards for all industries. He encouraged continued focus on reliability of operations in order to capture market opportunities and sustain FREP’s improved performance.
