Ministry of Public Security Held Technique Training in FREP
Fire Department of Ministry of Public Security held a hazardous chemical incident response technique training session in FREP during Mar. 23 to Apr. 6. Over 150 technical backbones of public security and fire safety departments from various provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the central government attended the training.
Yang Guohong, Training Director of Fire Department of Ministry of Public Security, Wang Wensheng, Chief Officer of Fujian Provincial Department of Public Security and Fire Safety, Zhao Wensheng, Chief of Staff, and Gu Yuefeng, FREP Chairman and President, were present at the kickoff meeting. The kickoff meeting was chaired by the Chief of Staff Zhao Wensheng.
President Gu Yuefeng addressed the kickoff meeting. He said, as in a flammable, explosive, high risk industry, FREP conscientiously carried out the “Safety First” policy, always based the Company’s sustainable development on work safety and gave top priority to fire safety as a part of operation, construction and development. FREP continuously improved our own ability to prevent and put out primary fire incident by establishing full time fire brigade, which played a significant role in delivery of production safety and constant improvement of HSE performance of the Company.
The Fire Department of Ministry of Public Security chose FREP as the venue for the training session because they made it a comprehensive inspection and promotion of full time fire safety management, and also a good opportunity for us to learn and improve. FREP will also make it as a chance to unceasingly enhance the Company’s full time fire service management and push the Company’s work safety to a new height.
It is reported that the key focus areas of the training session are to study petroleum and petrochemical production technology process, response to and countermeasure for incident, emergency response to common hazardous chemical toxication, fast detection and diagnosis. The training session is to reinforce the building of hazardous chemical emergency rescue team and further improve the ability to respond to and deal with hazardous chemical incident in the form of classroom teaching, field practice, on-site explanation, hands-on operation in the field, etc. (Xiao Wanyuan)
