Feb. 22 is the Lantern Festival when the Company Trade Union held an employee food contest themed “Celebrate the New Year and Reunion on Lantern Festival” in Quanzhou Fulian Building in the evening. Total 41 teams from FPCL, FREP, Fulin Co., Fuyuan Co., Ruisheng Co. and so on competed in the contest. Company management Mr. Chen Xiaobo, Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf, Mr. Yang Hongbin, Madam Li Siyang and Mr. Chen Feishan watched the contest on site and presented awards to the winners.

The contest site was livened up by people. Some were kneading dough while others were mixing fillings.

Members of each team gathered together to experience the fun of making sweet dumplings, traditional dumplings and preparing cold dishes. All teams presented their skill in a joyful way. Smiling faces, sweet dumplings all added up to love at this moment. In less than one hour, plates of rounded sweet dumplings, traditional dumplings with different flavors and colorful dishes were served. Those assorted dishes vividly carved in particular attracted considerable audience and applause. The contest site was full of happiness and laughs when we enjoyed the delicious sweet dumplings and traditional dumplings implying reunion. 

“Make and eat sweet dumplings, have good lucks throughout the year!”  People ate sweet dumplings and traditional dumplings made by themselves, and gave their best wishes to each other while enjoying the happy reunion of all employees as a big family.

Specialized gastronomic judges rated in an all-round way judging by color, aroma, taste, appearance, implication and nutrition. In the end, FREP HR&A Department team and S&D Department team won the first prizes; FREP Finance Department, Audit Office, M&S Department, FPCL General Office and Fulin Gas Co. teams won the second prizes respectively; six teams such as FREP HSE Fire Brigade, T&P Product Quality Center and Ruisheng Company won the third prizes respectively.

Celebrate a happy New Year and the reunion of Lantern Festival. The contest passed on the happiness, joy and wishes to all those present at the site so that everyone could spend a magnificent and harmonious evening together. (Xiao Wanyuan)
