On the afternoon of January 22, 2016, the Trade Union of FREP held the awarding ceremony for “6 Competitions & 1 Assurance” labor competition of the 2015 TAR & revamp of old plant in the exhibition hall of the Company. FREP’s leaders Mr. Gu Yufeng, Mr. Chen Xiaobo, Mr. Youssef, Mr. Yang Hongbing and Mr. Liu Yanchang were present at the meeting, and leaders and deputy leaders of the Competition Steering Committee and of all functional teams, managers of all participating units, PCL, TCL and chairman of the Trade Union, and representatives and individuals of the awarded units attended the meeting. The Awarding Ceremony was chaired by Mr. Yang Hongbing, chairman of FREP’s Trade Union.

Mr. Zhao Tianxing, general manager of Process Department, and Mr. Zhuang Xiaodong, general manager of Mechanical Department introduced the labor competition status of Division 1 & 2 respectively.

General Manager Liu Yanchang read out the Company’s decision on commending the winners in the “6 Competitions & 1 Assurance” labor competition of the TAR & Revamp.

The company leaders Mr. Gu Yuefeng, Mr. Chen Xiaobo, Mr. Yousuf, Mr. Yang Hongbing, and Mr. Liu Yanchang awarded medals and souvenirs to the winning units.

Finally, Mr. Chen Xiaobo, Party Secretary of FREP made a summary speech. He pointed out that the smooth fulfillment of the TAR & Revamp in the old plant could not be made without the diligence of all staff and the collaborative efforts of the contractors’ employees. The “6 Competitions & 1 Assurance” labor competition and the “Party & League Pioneers” campaign had greatly boosted the morale of the team, ensuring the timely and smooth completion of various tasks in the TAR & Revamp. As a result of the Labor Competition and “Party & League Pioneers” campaign, a good atmosphere of everyone emulating to be a model worker came into being, where, the wisdom & talents and potential of the mass of the Party members and staffs were exploited to the best, their enthusiasm for work and aspiration for career success fulfilled, and their personal values cherished. The tempering in the TAR & Revamp battle demonstrated the prominent image of the Party & League members being ideologically advanced, technically skillful, professionally disciplined and leading role, and strengthened the integral quality, ability to tackle problems and perseverance of the staff.

He emphasized that 2016 will be the first year of China’s “13th Five-Year Plan”, and will be also a critical year for FREP to further enhance its management and operating efficiency, during which, FREP would be confronted with austere situation in both operational task and managerial performance. To cope with it, all departments of FREP, construction units and contractors should carry forward the spirit of unity, collaboration and devotion forged in the TAR & Revamp practice, and should be responsible, diligent and work in a down-to-earth style to ensure safe and stable operation of the whole plant after the TAR & Revamp, and to promote smooth fulfillment of FREP’s tasks and objectives this year. To this end, the Party and League and Trade Union organizations at all levels should further unite and lead the Party and League members and employees to enhance the sense of responsibility as the masters, give play to Party members’ model role, and staff and League members’ role as the backbone, so as to open up a new chapter and score a new height in FREP’s future development.

On the afternoon, the Trade Union of FREP convened an enlarged plenary meeting. The meeting reviewed performance of the Trade Union in the year 2015, and deploy the 2016 work of the Trade Union.
