Mr. Steve Cope, Refining Director of ExxonMobil Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific, visited FREP on Jan. 14, accompanied by Mr. Bill Kellior, ExxonMobil Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific Business Manager, Madam Janet M., ExxonMobil Europe, Africa, Middle East and Asia Pacific Manufacturing Manager, etc.
Mr. Parut Chatikavanij, FREP Vice President, Mr. Joe Francis, General Manager of Finance Department and Mr. Ken Lin, General Manager of Marketing & Sales Department, reported to the delegation led by Mr. Steve Cope on the business performance, finance, controls, market strategy etc. of the Joint Venture. Vice President Parut Chatikavanij said that in the face of a series of challenges, complicated market situation & variance and intensified regional competition, FREP stabilized production operation, kept up with the market tempo, stood on fine management of controllable areas, rose to challenges positively and delivered good business performance over the past year. Confronted with severe safety and environment situations and challenges as a result of accelerating update of laws and regulations, the Company made OIMS as management architecture, responded to changes of laws and regulations positively and finished enterprise Class A safety standardization. The challenges also offered the Company an opportunity to further improve production operation system and to strengthen legal compliance.
Mr. Steve appreciated the business performance achieved by the Joint Venture over the past year, recognized the efforts made by the management under the leadership of OOP and hoped the management would pass on these positive-energy messages across the organization with the aim to motivate employees.
On the afternoon, Mr. Steve led the delegation and visited production areas with great interest accompanied by Vice President Parut Chatikavanij, etc., where they had a brief meeting with some business teams’ management. Their field visit focused on FCC Unit field and they recognized the achievements made during this TAR/Revamp. At the meantime, Mr. Steve reinforced that the shareholders paid high attention to relevant incidents incurred during TAR and required the management to take them as an opportunity to continuously improve safety and environment performance. The delegation led by Mr. Steve also visited Quangang Petrochemical Park where they had a brief meeting with EO/EG business team members, appreciated their fulfillments made since the startup of EO/EG Unit and hoped they would continue to work hard and create more glories.
