FREP Held Management Theory Discussion Meeting to Study and Plan 2016 Work


Gu Yuefeng, FREP Board Chairman and President, held a Company Management Theory Discussion Meeting on Dec. 15, to study and plan 2016 targets, tasks and key works. The meeting brainstormed to pool wisdom, discussed about 2016 FREP targets and tasks and the priorities of the Five KFAs “Safety, Reliability, Margin, Opex and People” and underlined the path and direction for 2016 work, which would benefit unity of thoughts, help get alignment and play a key role in guiding and pushing 2016 works. VP Nouraddin A. Yousuf, VP Parut Chatikavanij, Yang Hongbin, Liu Yanchang, Hu Hongye and Departmental GMs attended the meeting.

    When addressing the audience, President Gu Yuefeng fully recognized the achievements made this year. He pointed out, since the beginning of 2015, FREP OOP worked together with management and led the whole organization, united as one and delivered brilliant performance. According to the Board decision making and deployment, we conscientiously implemented each work requirement raised at the management conference held early this year, stuck to targets, overcame difficulties, did a great job in turning losses to gains economically and achieved a record-high production and business performance. Over the last year, the Company enjoyed more solid foundation of safety and environment, more remarkable effect in quality and profit improvement, more efficient internal management, more scientific development, fully improved team quality, more harmonious and stable corporate climate and more friendly relation between the Company and the locals, which were fully recognized by both Chinese and foreign shareholders and highly praised by peer companies.

    President Gu Yuefeng reinforced that we should keep sober-minded when studying and judging the severe situation of over-capacity, slow recovery of global economy and crude oil fluctuating in a wide range at low level confronting our Company’s production and business operation in 2016. When we wrap up our achievements in a deep-going way, we should be fully aware that we still lag far behind in terms of safety, environment, quality and profit improvement, management innovation and so on, and so we should practically raise our sense of crisis, urgency and responsibility.

As required by President Gu Yuefeng, management at all levels and employees of the Company should break through our traditional thinking and stereotype, get to grips with outstanding issues in the Company’s business operation, firmly master the initiative of work, endeavor to improve our ability to guard against risk impact and always get prepared to complicated and difficult situation; we should strengthen the sense of urgency and responsibility, build a big-picture mindset and keep good mental state; we shall highlight construction of happiness and harmony, strive to forge excellent corporate culture and drive management innovation by culture; we should lead by example, improve executive force, strengthen effective communication and cooperation, give full play to teamwork and enable successful completion of the Company’s production operation and various tasks in a down-to-earth attitude by robust measures. 

At the full-day session, leads from various functional departments of FREP shared the progress of 2015 FREP Five KFAs, benchmarking results and 2016 marketing strategy & priorities among the KFAs; from the perspectives of their own works, against the backdrop of new normal of current economic development, attendees focused on the key issues concerning the Company’s development including response to the challenge of low oil price, stronger control over costs, improvement of quality and profit, deeper reform, safety and environment, coordinated development, enterprise culture and Party affairs. In combination with their respective work allocation, OOP members analyzed gaps and difficulties in our work, probed into the key and difficult problems we need to break through during the development of next year, came up with solid comments and advice and required management of all levels to further improve leadership and executive force, enhance communication and cooperation, cement solidarity with each performing their due duties, aim at targets, take actions in innovation and spare no efforts to push 2016 works to a new high.
