      In August, midsummer with luxuriant branches and leaves, the 92 new graduates from all over the country got together in FREP. Paying tribute to the youth and looking forward to the future, this is a new starting point for you, welcome to FREP as a new member of our big family.

In the afternoon of August 5, the company held 2019 New Employees Welcome Meeting in the Technology Conference Hall for the new graduates.

Company management Nouraddin A. Yousuf, Yang Hongbin, Lin Xu and Zhao Tianxing attended the meeting.

Vice president Nouraddin A. Yousuf commented in the welcoming speech that FREP is a large-scale petrochemical enterprise jointly invested by four parties from three countries. The company boasts not only first-class units, but also top-notch resources from shareholders. Choosing FREP is a choice of good starting point. Let's work together to make a better future for FREP. He then put forward four expectations on the new employees. The first is to study hard. There are a lot ahead for you to explore after you taking up the post. The second is to be patient. Setbacks are inevitably after you just walk out of school. Only with correct attitude and by overcoming difficulties will you grow continuously. The third is to have team spirit. We are now a family, a team as a whole. You each other shall strengthen communication and cultivate teamwork spirit. And the fourth is to pay attention to safety. Petrochemical enterprise requires high technology and has high operational risks, so you must cultivate safety awareness and practice safe acts.

Yang Hongbin, Deputy Secretary of Company Party Committee, Secretary of Company Discipline Inspection Commission and Chairman of Company Labor Union, welcomed the new employees, and commented that they injected “fresh blood” into the development of the company. He said that it’s the mission of petrochemical people to love China, revitalize petrochemical industry and work hard for a better life. FREP provides a good platform for the new employees to show their talents. He encouraged the new employees to “bind” individual, work and the company tightly together, to maintain high ambitions and goals, and be down to earth, realize their dreams with real actions. He commented that Labor Union was the “home” of employees and welcomes people to seek help from the “family” in case of problems or difficulties.

Vice President Lin Xu briefly shared the development and operation performance of the company, and commented that FREP was worth your joining. He put forward three expectation, including the first was to attach importance to safety, which was the foundation of the enterprise development, not only protect oneself, but also protect others, and truly practice safety awareness in actions; the second was to take root at the frontline, study hard, combine theory with practice so as to allow improve competence continuously and become talents of the company; the third was to keep right attitude, the work was not easy, but since the choice has been made, people should be responsible and meet the challenges with perseverance.

Vice President Zhao Tianxing put forward three requirements for new employees. The first was to learn to be, the society was different from college, when entering the society and facing all kinds of people, one shall learn to get along with others and maintain harmonious relations with colleagues, thus to create a good environment for work and study; the second was to learn to adapt, not everything could go smoothly or come off satisfactorily, one shall not lose confidence because of small setbacks, shall be a person with good attitude and responsibility awareness; and the third was to pay attention to safety and environmental protection, nobody gets hurt under my watch, shall not care oneself, but also take the responsibility of reminding others, thus to create a harmonious and safe working environment together.

At the meeting, Zhang Zhi’e and Li Weijia, the representatives of the graduates hired in 2018, shared their thoughts and experiences in the past year about study and work, as well as their suggestions to the new graduates.

To help new employees quickly blend into the big family of FREP, the company carried out various trainings on corporate culture, company systems publicity, HSE education, military training, etc. to help new employees to realize a magnificent change, realize a perfect transition from college students to employees with high responsibility awareness.

It is reported that the new employees are graduated from China University of Petroleum, Xiamen University, Sichuan University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Central South University, East China University of Science and Technology, Lanzhou University, Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, Capital University of Economics and Business, Fuzhou University, Yanshan University and Lanzhou Petrochemical College of Vocational Technology.
