I’ll Take the First Step, We’ll Collaborate and Win Together


From April 17th to 18th, the graduation ceremony for the one-year Leadership Training Program themed “I’ll take the first step, we’ll collaborate and win together” was held in the meeting room, Furui Hotel. OOP Mr. Joost Emmen, Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf, Mr. Lin Xu and Mr. Zhao Tianxing attended the ceremony and presented the trainees with graduation certificates. Trainees from the Mastery/ Nebula/ Sunrise/ Forerunner/ Excellence Programs attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, OOP delivered speeches respectively. They thanked Hejun Consulting Company for tailoring the Leadership Training Program themed “I’ll take the first step, we’ll collaborate and win together” for FREP after understood in depth the needs of FREP management to the leadership training. They were also grateful to all the trainees for their hard work in improving their leadership and management regardless of heavy production tasks, learning and completing homework in their spare time, and presenting their learning results, which fully demonstrated the use of right tools, the conduct of right behaviors and the achievement of right results.

Secondly, they expected all the trainees to absorb what they learnt and make accomplishments. Graduation from the training program was not an “ending point”, but a new “starting point” in the career path. While focusing on work and fulfilling responsibilities, the trainees were expected to set up right examples for employees with higher positions, and contribute to smooth cross-functional communication and collaboration. The trainees were encouraged to refresh the training courses and notes regularly, and take the diligence and study as the basis for fulfilling responsibilities.

Finally, they expected all the trainees to put what they learnt into practice. Focusing on practicing the knowledge learned in their daily work, and reflecting/ improving the problems and weakness in their work, thus to effectively improve their leadership and management skill, and help their employees to be successful, and make contribution in driving the Company to be a world-class petrochemical company with sustainable competitiveness.

The trainees used what they learnt from the training to deeply consider the key focus areas and work priorities of the Company in current production and operation, cross-functional collaboration and high efficient operation management, and developed some specific research accomplishments in their presentations titled “Win-Win Leadership”, “Let the Change Occur and Success in Return”, “I’ll Take the First Step, Unity of Knowledge and Action” and “We Can Take One Step Forward” etc.

OOP presented the graduation certificates of the Leadership Training Program to the trainees, and rewarded the outstanding mentors, coaches, trainees and study groups.

The Leadership Training Program started from June 4th, 2018, with training contents covering Work-out - Problem Analysis and Solving, Cross-functional Communication and Collaboration and Management Core Five Tasks. There were 168 trainees participated in the Leadership Training Program, with 160 trainees successfully completed the course and obtained graduation certificates. (Xiao Wanyuan)
