On October 7, Wang Zhihong, deputy mayor of Quanzhou City, visited the company for a research on energy and power saving work. Lin Xu, vice president of the company, welcomed Wang Zhihong and his delegation. Yang Fengxiang, acting director of Quangang District, accompanied the research.

After listening to the report on the production and operation of the company, and the work of energy saving and power saving in recent years, Wang Zhihong commented that the provincial government would issue power control indicators to each level in a way of “classified control and local management” for safe operation of the provincial power grid. FREP, as a local leading enterprise, was expected to improve its political position, overcome difficulties and shoulder the responsibility of reducing power consumption.

Lin Xu thanked the government authorities at each level for their support and help in the production and operation, development planning, energy saving and emission reduction of the company. He commented that FREP has actively responded to the government's call, quickly adjusted production plan and formulated a work plan to reduce power consumption. Next, on the premise of ensuring production safety, the company would fully cooperate with the government to meet the power consumption control indicators issued by the government through taking measures in running more turbine pumps, optimizing the operation of fans and other major electrical equipment and optimizing the units’ shutdown and maintenance plans.

At the meeting, the two parties also exchanged views on the development trend of energy industry, energy consumption/ intensity control and energy statistics.
