The Company Signed the Photovoltaic Project Cooperation Agreement with CHN Energy (Quanzhou) Thermal Power Company


On September 1, the company signed the Photovoltaic Project Cooperation Agreement with CHN Energy (Quanzhou) Thermal Power Company. Liu Xiangdong, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and general manager of FPCL and deputy secretary of the Party Committee of FREP, and Zhang Changyan, secretary of Party Committee and chairman of CHN Energy Fujian Company attended the signing ceremony and exchanged views on deepening cooperation. Lin Xu, vice president of the company, and Chen Guobao, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of CHN Energy (Quanzhou) Thermal Power Company, delivered speeches.

Lin Xu delivered a speech at the ceremony. He commented that FREP and CHN Energy (Quanzhou) Thermal Power Company were neighbors. The two parties continuously and actively responded to the call of the CPC Central Committee and carried out cooperation in co-generation steam trade, direct power purchase transaction and market-oriented power transaction. Today, on the new journey of implementing the national strategic goal of "2030 Carbon Emission Peak and 2060 Carbon Neutrality", the two parties carried out polyolefin storage yard photovoltaic power generation cooperation project. Win-win cooperation was the bases of the cooperation. FREP has been conducting feasibility study on the new steam cracker and high-end downstream derivatives, and the Thermal Power Company has been carrying out a new round of new energy revamping and development. The development of both parties provided unlimited cooperation opportunities, and the two parties were actively exploring further cooperation on steam supply. It was believed that right cooperation, reasonable win-win cooperation and sustainable development would deepen and consolidate the strategic cooperative relationship between the two parties.

Chen Guobao commented in his speech that the joint construction of new energy photovoltaic power generation project by CHN Energy (Quanzhou) Thermal Power Company and FREP was an important measure to implement the national strategic goal of "2030 Carbon Emission Peak" and "2060 Carbon Neutrality". Aiming at promoting green development, we should create a first-class development environment with first-class services and first-class efficiency, and fully display the good image and spirit of SOE in keeping the overall interests in mind, making great achievements and creating great enterprise. The two parties had a long-term good cooperative relationship. Today, we signed the photovoltaic project to further expand the fields of cooperation and consolidate the basis of mutually beneficial cooperation. The two parties would certainly carry out in-depth cooperation in more fields, realize advantage complementation, mutual benefit and win-win cooperation, and create new economic growth points and highlights, thus to demonstrate the strength of SOE in local economic development.

At the ceremony, on behalf of each party, Haytham Zamzami, general manager of Supply& Distribution Department of FREP, and Ke Zhanhuang, deputy general manager of CHN Energy (Quanzhou) Thermal Power Company, signed the Photovoltaic Project Cooperation Agreement.

Liu Xiangdong and Zhang Changyan then exchanged views on deepening cooperation.

Funded by CHN Energy (Quanzhou) Thermal Power Company, this project would use a space of about 160K m3 on open-air polyolefin storage yard of FREP to build a photovoltaic power station with an installed capacity of 21MW. In a mode of "generating power for self use and putting the surplus on power grid", the power station generates 21.98 million KWH of power annually on average, saves 6,800 tons of standard coal, reduces emission of 18Kt of carbon dioxide and 830 tons of dust, so as to promote green, low-carbon and clean production. At the same time, the project also includes a customized reverse hanging membrane to improve weather-proofing of the polyolefin storage yard, so as to improve the satisfaction of polyolefin customers.
