On October 29, the company held a Party Committee meeting to convey the spirit of the important instructions of general secretary Xi Jinping when he visited Shengli Oilfield to study and deploy measures for learning and publicity. Liu Xiangdong, general manager of the company and deputy secretary of the Party Committee, chaired the meeting and put forward deployment requirements. Members of the company management spoke on their experience in learning and their opinions on implementation.

The meeting commented that general secretary Xi Jinping visited Shengli Oilfield and made important instructions, which reflected the great importance attached to petroleum and petrochemical industry, deep concern for the cadres and employees and had ardent expectations for the development of Sinopec. In combination with Party history learning, we shall quickly organize the learning, publicity and implementation to convey the spirit of the important instructions of general secretary to every Party member and employee as soon as possible, guide Party members, cadres and employees to continuously improve their political judgment, political understanding and political execution, further enhance the "Four Awareness", strengthen the "Four Confidences" and achieve the "Two Upholding".

The meeting stressed that as energy and chemical company shall bear in mind the country’s most fundamental interests and work hard in energy and chemical industry. We shall continuously improve the quality of products supply. Based on supplying clean energy and green products to the society, effectively improve the level of intrinsic safety and environmental protection of the company, and provide customers with clean, efficient and competitive clean energy and chemical materials.

The meeting called for effective improvement of energy consumption efficiency and carbon emission reduction. Work hard to improve energy consumption efficiency, energy conservation and emission reduction, and carbon reduction, and promote the green and low-carbon development of the company. We shall increase refining capacity utilization, optimize chemical feeds, reduce comprehensive energy consumption of the units, and effectively improve the core competitiveness of green and low-carbon development of the units.

The meeting commented that petroleum spirit and Sinopec tradition were our "heirlooms". Party and Union organizations at all levels shall educate and guide employees to carry forward the petroleum spirit, inherit Sinopec tradition and practice FPCL spirit through good ways such as ideological education, teaching, helping and coaching. We shall pay special attention to the ideological education of youth employees in joint ventures, to enable inheritance of the red gene and fasten the first button at the beginning of their career.

The meeting stressed that we shall remain true to our original aspiration, and always keep the mission firmly in mind. Make new achievements and better performance. We shall thoroughly learn the spirit of general secretary Xi Jinping's important instructions, combine it with the review of the instructions of general secretary during his work in Fujian, the company's development in the "14^th Five-Year Plan" period, the maximization of the company's profit, and conscientiously convert general secretary Xi Jinping's sincere instructions to ideas and measures to promote all-round and high-quality development. We shall more comprehensively and accurately grasp the new development stage, implement the new development concept, integrate into the new development pattern, drive Gulei Phase-I Project to realize high-quality and stable operation and create profit as soon as possible, and promote substantive progress of Gulei Phase-II Project and FREP SC Expansion Project. Work hard to regain the leading position in the new era of all-round and high-quality development of the company, and make greater contributions to Sinopec to build a world-class clean energy chemical company and write Fujian chapter in building a socialist modern country in an all-round way.
