The Company Held 2018 Turnaround/ Revamp Coordination Meeting


As turnaround was around the corner, the turnaround preparations were under final push. To ensure the orderly advancement toward successful turnaround, on October 16th, the Company held 2018 turnaround/ revamp coordination meeting at Furui Hotel. Mr. Shen Chen, deputy director of Sinopec Engineering Department, and Mr. Hu Hongye, deputy general manager of FPCL attended the meeting.

Mr. Shen Chen recognized the Company's preparations for the turnaround. He said that all departments in FREP were coordinating to make early preparation, optimization and arrangement in detail, and laid a solid foundation for the turnaround. The preparations were carried out in an orderly and efficient manner, which was a model worth learning from.

Mr. Shen Chen emphasized that turnaround preparation was currently in critical moment. All units should strengthen communications and coordination, ensure resources in design, procurement, and construction in place, collect strength and greet turnaround with high standards. At the same time, he required firstly to make coordination and arrangement for the milestones to avoid delays, secondly to identify vulnerable points, take measures against high-risk operations, assign responsible persons, and ensure safe/ environmental turnaround; thirdly to seize the precious time before the turnaround, carry out field communication, and remove the obstacles in the schedule; fourthly to strictly work on product warehousing inspection as the first gate for turnaround quality control.

Mr. Shen Chen hoped FREP and contractors to make persistent efforts to realize turnaround targets of safety, quality and efficiency, and provide continuous force for high-quality development of FREP in the new period.

Mr. Hu Hongye commented that after more than two years of preparations, with the joint efforts of all parties, the turnaround work had been progressing smoothly, and the construction plans, training and equipment preparation have been set in place successively. He required that HSSE management must be performed well throughout the turnaround, especially to ensure flawless operation/ construction during the turnaround.

At the meeting, Mr. Fu Junsong, deputy general manager of MECH Dept., reported the progress of 2018 turnaround preparation.

More than ten contractors including design, construction and supervision companies, such as SEI, SNEI and Huaxia Supervision, reported at the meeting about the preparation of organization, staffing, equipment and schedule, and committed to adhere to the spirit “one team, one goal”, follow the maintenance arrangements, and make good preparation to contribute to the completion of FREP turnaround objectives.

At the meeting, the representatives of Sinopec relevant departments made comments in detail about the project design, material arrival, quality control and other issues.

Management personnel from MECH Dept., S&D Dept., T&P Dept. and HSE Dept., managers of relevant business teams and contractors’ representatives attended the meeting. (Zhang Lei)
