In the morning of October 29^th, FREP and Quangang District Government jointly held a meeting for enterprise-local government co-building. Company management Mr. Joost Emmen, Mr. Lin Xu and Mr. Zhao Tianxing, Quangang District leaders Mr. Yan Chaohui, Mr. Liu Minjian, Mr. Chen Xiangcheng, Mr. Guo Ronghua and Mr. Zhuang Yiming attended the meeting. The two sides had a in-depth communication on topics such as safe production, environmental protection and joint construction.

President Mr. Joost Emmen first briefed the follow-ups of the first joint meeting held early this year, and the arrangements for the upcoming turnaround, and shared the overall situation of the Company’s production and operation. He said that this year, FREP made good profit, which was benefited from the strong support/ help from Quangang District Government. In particular, the product oil export received support from government authorities at all levels, which promoted higher capacity utilization and improvement of performance, enable the production/ operation of the Company on the tack of sound/ rapid development. For the turnaround to be carried out at end of the year, he commented that it was a good opportunity to remove bottlenecks and improve management, including safety, environmental protection and green production. This was inseparable from the support and help from government authorities and residents of surrounding communities.

Mr. Joost Emmen said that FREP and Quangang District were neighbors in friendly relations. There were many aspects to cooperate in both production and life. Supporting each other on the basis of communication and understanding was our common desire, and FREP’s Development could not be achieved without the support of people in Quangang District. He expected both parties to further strengthen communications and promote win-win cooperation in an open manner. FREP would keep a foothold on Quangang, actively engage in its future development, keep promoting project construction and strive to benefit the district and return to the society. 

Director Mr. Yan Chaohui recognized and appreciated the good profit achieved by FREP in this year. On behalf of the district committee and government, he extended gratitude to FREP for its support and contribution to the development of Quangang over the years. He said that the communication and dialogue mechanism would be maintained and departments at all levels of the Quangang District Government would, as always, proactively support and cooperate to provide quality services, promote the construction and development of cooperation projects, petrochemical industrial clusters and the tertiary industry to injected new vitality into economic growth. Quangang District would further provide a good environment for operation and development of FREP; take the initiative to attract investment and work on the extension of industry chain.

Mr. Yan Chaohui expected that FREP would keep strengthening its technology investment, attach importance to safety and environmental protection, proactively strive for preferential policies, further deepen, expand and strengthen the petrochemical industry to facilitate the development of Quangang.

At the meeting, representatives of both sides proactively made suggestions for the joint construction of enterprise and the local for further strengthening communications and exchanges and exploring opportunities for cooperation and development.
