In the morning of October 17^th, 2018, the Company Turnaround Mobilization Meeting was held in the Technology Hall to arrange and deploy the upcoming turnaround. The meeting encouraged the whole organization and all participants from the construction contractors to work for a safe, high-quality, efficient and punctual turnaround, to gather strength and come down to earth for the turnaround and lay a solid foundation for next five-year operation circle and the accomplishment of 2018 tasks.

President Mr. Joost Emmen, Vice Presidents Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf and Mr. Lin Xu attended the meeting.

At the meeting, it was pointed out that with tight schedule and heavy workload, the construction work would be highly concentrated, the potential hazards rectification projects and the tie-in construction will be implemented simultaneously. The whole organization must be fully prepared and make efforts in fulfilling safety and quality responsibilities, strengthening management of implementation and control, improving work efficiency, optimizing construction organization, making more efforts on overall coordination, and carrying forward the spirit of “one team, one goal” to keep the whole process stable and under control, thusly successful complete the 2018 turnaround work.

Safety information was shared at the meeting at first, and safety production requirements were emphasized for the turnaround/ revamp work.

President Mr. Joost Emmen made a mobilization speech at the meeting, and introduced the goals and requirements for 2018 turnaround. He pointed out that the turnaround was the most important and high risk work of the Company in 2018, which was critical for safe and stable operation in the next production circle. He required the whole organization to further understand the importance of the turnaround from the perspective of FREP safe and stable development.

He emphasized that HSSE work was our top priority, and that quality, schedule and cost were also important for the success of 2018 turnaround. All employees and contractors must fully recognize the importance of this turnaround. Under the guidance of “one team, one goal”, we must work together to achieve the set goals and maintain profitability and sustainable competitiveness for future development of the Company, create value for shareholders and contribute to economy development of Fujian Province.

Mr. Lin Xu, member of the Company Party committee and vice president, made deployment on three activities to be carried out by Party Committees, Labor Union and League during turnaround, i.e. “Party Commando”, “6 Contests and 1 Guarantee Labor Competition” and “Turnaround Integrity”. He emphasized that all units should attach great importance to strengthen organization and leadership, improve understanding, and actively participate in these three activities. And develop the action plan combined with the actual conditions, to ensure the implementation and effectiveness of these activities, so as to contribute to the turnaround.

Mr. Zhang Huaping, general manager of MECH Dept., reported the management concept and work arrangement for 2018 turnaround. He emphasized the TA goals of safety, quality, efficiency, and punctuality in completion of 2018 turnaround of FREP.

At the meeting, President Mr. Joost Emmen and vice president Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf respectively presented the flags to the turnaround commandos from 13 contractors. Vice president Mr. Lin Xu presented the flags to 18 Party/ League commandos.

The Company management, representatives of the turnaround steering committee and the management personnel from contractors signed the commitment letters.

Olefin BT, on behalf of the owner, signed the “Joint Construction Responsibility for Anti-corruption” with the contractor representative – Sinopec No. 10 Construction Company.

Mr. Song Xianghua, representative of Sinopec No. 10 Construction Company, Mr. Zhang Donghong, construction manager of aromatics project team, and Mr. Han Xiaohong, area manager of polyolefin project team, delivered commitment speeches at the meeting.

The representatives from each department, business team managers, and the representatives of construction companies such as Sinopec No. 5 Construction Company, Sinopec No. 10 Construction Company, Sinopec Nanjing Engineering Company and Fujian Provincial Installation Company etc. attended the meeting.
