The Company Held the Workshop for 2018 Chemical Units Turnaround Start-up/Shutdown Plans Discussion


In the morning of August 23rd, the workshop for discussing 2018 Chemical Units Turnaround Start-up/Shutdown Plans was held at Furui Hotel.

Mr. Xu Yuehua, deputy director of Sinopec Chemical Department, FREP vice president Mr. Lin Xu, attended the meeting. Sinopec chemical experts, relevant department management of the Company, business team managers and technical personnel attended the meeting.

Mr. Xu Yuehua said that the goal of five-year turnaround for chemical units requires optimization and coordination in the aspects of planning, operation and equipment, which involves multiple difficulties. FREP achieved this goal and developed a long-term operation method, providing valuable experience for its sister companies. He pointed out that all experts should give full play to their rich work experience to resolve key and questionable points and difficulties, to develop measures, collect strength and make preparation for safety, environmental protection, quality, schedule and efficiency of turnaround, and lay a solid foundation for long-term operation of the units.

Mr. Lin Xu thanked Sinopec Chemical Department for organizing experts to provide guidance to FREP. He said that since the units started up after the turnaround in Dec. 2013, the processing units had been in operation for five years. As a new round of turnaround was to be carried out at the end of this year, safety, environmental protection, quality and schedule are the KPIs, esp. safety and environmental protection are top priorities. He hoped that all experts to make comments and suggestions, thusly to improve the shortcomings of the plans and ensure a successful completion of the turnaround objectives.

He required that the key links and quality control should be secured to ensure the efficient and stable operation for the next five years. He expected that all management and technical personnel of the Company should make good use of this precious opportunity, humbly consult and learn from experts, make more learning, recording and summarizing, and further improve their skills while improving the plan.

Later, the experts and the relevant personnel of FREP made breakout discussions in three groups, i.e. ethylene, aromatics and EOEG.

The experts participated in the discussions came from sister companies such as ZRCC, SECCO, Sinopec Beijing Yanshan Company and SSTPC. (Zhang Lei)
