ExxonMobil Guests Visited the Company


On June 27th, Mr. Frans Van Den Brink, ExxonMobil Operations and Technology Controller, visited FREP accompanied by Mr. Shayne McGregor, AP Lead Fuels and Lubricants Controller, Mr. Richard Tan, AP Operations and Technology Controller’s Manager, and Mr. Joe Francis, China BSM & Controller.

President Mr. Joost Emmen, vice president Mr. Lin Xu and vice president Mr. Zhao Tianxing received Frans Van Den Brink with his team and had friendly talks.

Joost Emmen first welcomed Frans Van Den Brink and his team to the Company and made a report on the Company's recent performance on behalf of OOP, including key focus areas, flawless operation, OPEX, gross margin improvement and profitability. He said that the Company had been improving its operating performance. This year, it conducted the first OIMS external assessment and RS internal assessment. It focused on system implementation and equipment dynamics and kept improving reliability. In terms of production and operation, in addition to realizing jet fuel export last year, this year the Company opened diesel export channel, which not only optimized the product structure but also significantly improved profitability. In particular, Year 2017 witnessed the Company achieving the record profits in history and first-ever dividend distribution to the shareholders. The Company would keep consolidating the management system, and on the basis of enhancing unit reliability, exploring unit potential, optimizing the structure of raw materials and expanding the market to achieve better performance.

At the meeting, Mr. Lin Xu briefed the Company's business development. He said that the Company had been striving for export quotas and had achieved the normalization of jet fuel and diesel export. It not only optimized product structure, but also eliminated bottlenecks in operations and ensured a steady increase in efficiency.

In response to Mr. Frans Van Den Brink’s concern about implementation of environmental laws and regulations, he said that the Company had been paying attention to relevant laws and regulations constantly, defining regulatory compliance and key projects, and timely adjusting the structure of production units to ensure the legal compliance of operations. He also shared 2017 FCC environmental enhancement project.

Mr. Frans Van Den Brink noted that he was very pleased to visit FREP. Also, under the leadership of OOP, FREP’s business performance had been continuously improved and the management system had been perfected. He extended congratulations and expected that OOP would work harder to strengthen contact with shareholders, promote understanding, and proactively push for planning and implementation so as to improve the Company's performance in efficiency, safety, environmental protection and other aspects.

Mr. Frans Van Den Brink and his team also learnt more deeper about the Company's turnaround contract management, security, product quality and business planning.

After the meeting, accompanied by Mr. Joost Emmen, Mr. Frans Van Den Brink and his team visited the exhibition hall, CCR2 and the unit site.

In the afternoon of June 26th, Mr. Frans Van Den Brink and his team also listened to the work report of Finance Department at Quanzhou Building. (Zhang Lei)
