In the afternoon of March 12^th, the 6^th Innovation Day award ceremony was held in the exhibition hall. President Mr. Joost Emmen, Vice Presidents Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf, Mr. Lin Xu and Mr. Zhao Tianxing, and general manager of each department were invited to the ceremony and awarded the trophies to the representatives of the award-winning staff.

With the theme of “No End to Innovation”, during this Innovation Day, the following activities were launched: entering Fuzhou University, Quangang Petrochemical Park and other communities to collect “gold ideas”, and the first “FREP hears your voice” program on WeChat public account, making more Company employees and community people focus on Innovation Day activities.

In 2017, the Innovation Day team collected 2,048 “gold ideas” in total. A total of nine awards were created for these activities including Edison first, second and third prizes, which involved the aspects such as: margin improvement, cost reduction, operation optimization, customer service, HSE, IS, etc.

Vice president Mr. Zhao Tianxing said, “I’m very glad to see so many good ideas coming out. And as the previous sponsor of the Innovation Day, I expect that more employees will be able to sum up more and better ideas from their daily work to deliver to Innovation Day team.”

Vice president Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf said, “The development of the Company is jointly promoted through the concerted efforts of all the staff. The power of innovation will eventually become an inexhaustible driving force for the development of the Company, and I hope we can see excellent performance of everyone in the future.”

Vice president Mr. Lin Xu said, “This achievement cannot be made without the staff who facilitate FREP’s development. We hope that the Company will be able to be a world-class petrochemical company with sustainable competitiveness at an early date, with the leadership of OOP and the cooperation of everyone.”

Finally, President Mr. Joost Emmen affirmed the achievements of each activity made by the Innovation Day in 2017. He pointed out that over the past year, more than 500 “gold ideas” were lunched and created more than 150M RMB profits, which born the hard work of the Innovation Day team members and every employee of the Company. He expected that more employees could join in the Innovation Day activities and contribute to the development of the Company.

The relay baton of 2018 Innovation Day was handed over to Mr. Cai Xiping. Mr. Cai Xiping said that he hoped to undertake the activities of 2017 Innovation Day and led the team of 2018 to reach a higher level and achieve brilliant results. (Xie Yifan& Gao Meihua)
