Focus on new targets and launch a new journey.

In the morning of January 2^nd, the first work day after the New Year Day of 2018, FREP held the inauguration meeting of the second term of OOP in the meeting room of CCR2.

President Mr. Joost Emmen, Vice President Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf, Vice President Mr. Lin Xu, Vice President Mr. Zhao Tianxing, and Mr. Yang Hongbin, the deputy secretary of the Party Committee, secretary of the Discipline Committee and chairman of the Labor Union, were present at the meeting. general managers, deputy general managers and managers of each department, and BT managers participated in the meeting.

At the meeting, Mr. Yuan Huadong, general manager in HR& A Dept., announced the appointments of the second term of OOP and introduced the changes on organizational structure.

As nominated by shareholders and approved by BOD, from January 1^st, 2018, Mr. Gu Yuefeng assumed the position of the chairman of FREP in the second term board of directors, Mr. Joost Emmen assumed the position of president in the second term of FREP, Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf assumed the position of vice president in the second term of FREP (in charge of Supply &Distribution Department, Marketing &Sales Department and Human Resources &Administration Department), Mr. Lin Xu assumed the position of vice president in the second term of FREP (in charge of Technical &Planning Department and HSE Department), Mr. Zhao Tianxing assumed the position of vice president in the second term of FREP (in charge of Process Department and Mechanical Department).

In his speech, vice president Mr. Zhao Tianxing said that he was glad to work together with everyone for the development of FREP. Year 2017 was an extraordinary year for the development of FREP. The Company continuously improved quality and efficiency, and created outstanding performance in 2017. As a result of cooperation and endeavor of the whole organization, ethylene production exceeded 1.2 million tons and achieved a new high, as well as improvements in production, operation, equipment reliability and other aspects. He expected that the Company will make new achievements in 2018.

Vice president Mr. Lin Xu thanked shareholders for their trust. He said that he would remain true to his original aspiration and keep in mind his mission. In 2018, the Company would be faced with more severe situations, and undertake heavier tasks. He shared his ideas by quoting President Xi Jinping’s New Year address, “A nine-storied tower rises from a heap of earth. To turn the blueprint into reality, we shall not stay hope in vain or pursue the unreal, but shall be steadfast in work and carry on step by step.”

Vice president Mr. Nouraddin A. Yousuf expressed appreciation to all employees for their unremitting efforts and outstanding contributions in year 2017, as well was the team spirit demonstrated. He motivated the whole organization to strive toward the targets in 2018.

President Mr. Joost Emmen first expressed his New Year best wishes to all departments, groups and employees. He commented that in 2017, on the solid foundation laid by the last term of OOP led by Mr. Gu Yuefeng, the staff was united to work hard in creating the most brilliant achievement in the Company’s history. The foundation of the Company safety and environmental protection became more reliable, the economic and technical indicators kept being improved and the management level were promoted in all respects. Especially that the outstanding performance in jet fuel export, chemical feedstock import, ethylene production exceeded 1.2 million tons, FCC flue gas purification facilities project construction etc. would encourage everyone to keep moving forward.

Mr. Joost Emmen stressed that in faced with more severe situation, year 2018 would be a key year for the Company to improve competitiveness in an all-round way. He and the OOP had confidence in carrying forward the “spirit of teamwork and pursuit of excellence” together with the Company’s management and employees, to stride toward the vision “to be a world class petrochemical company with sustainable competitiveness”.

The representatives present at the meeting expressed the best ever profit performance in 2017 brought high sense of gain and accomplishment to employees. They will resolutely implement the decisions and deployments of the Company and the Company Party Committee with, take initiatives and keep in one mind, to create better performance and make new contributions in building and sharing beautiful FREP.
