Employee Innovation Workshop Organized the 2017 Work Progression Meeting


The Employee Innovation Workshop held the 2017 Work Progression Meeting in the morning of March 30th. The meeting was chaired by Mr. Ji Houping, General Manager of Process Dept. (Chemical), and presented by Mr. Chen Xiaobo, Mr. Joost Emmen, Mr. Yang Hongbin and Mr. Liu Yanchang, as well as persons in charge of Process Dept. and Party&Union Department and members of the Employee Innovation Workshop.

At the meeting, Mr. Wu Liangjiang, sponsor of the Employee Innovation Workshop, reviewed the accomplishments of the Employee Innovation Workshop in 2016, shared the experiences gained from HCU furnace, introduced the work plan in 2017 and made presentation on the development planning of the Employee Innovation Workshop.

Mr. Liu Yanchang, Operation General Manager of FREP, commented that the Employee Innovation Workshop had made remarkable achievements in the areas of the fuel oil-fired furnace and management of steam traps. He hoped that the Employee Innovation Workshop continues to serving as a platform for its members in exchanging ideas and experiences, and tackling production and operation problems.

Vice President Mr. Joost Emmen commented that Employee Innovation Workshop is a cool concept where every employee has fun in making innovations and tackling problems. He expected that the Employee Innovation Workshop to making contributions to continuous improvement of the Company’s safety, reliability and profitability. 

Mr. Yang Hongbin, Deputy Secretary of Company Party Committee, Secretary of the Discipline Committee and Chairman of the Labor Union, pointed out that the Employee Innovation Workshop had made remarkable achievements despite all the difficulties it had when it was set up, and it has become a platform for cross-functional exchange of new ideas and thoughts. The mass are always the main forces of innovation, and it is the Workshop’s job to inspire employees’ potential to think and act out of boxes.

Company Party Secretary Mr. Chen Xiaobo required that the Employee Innovation Workshop shall act as a model in guiding masses’ economic and technical innovation activities. The Workshop shall put innovation in the first place, and aim at serving the Company’s production and operation, thus to bring the Company’s production safety, work efficiency and economic profit to a higher level through technical and management innovation. Members of the Workshop should not be afraid of coming up with new ideas and thoughts and should work to build the Workshop into a more cohesive innovation platform and an innovation brand with FREP characteristics, and ultimately drives a better and faster development of the Company through innovation.

Attendees expressed their determination to act in the spirit of the meeting, further push forward all activities of the Employee Innovation Workshop, provide guidance and mentoring services in setting up diversified employee innovation workshops, expand its work scopes and unleash the power of the workshops by expanding the number of innovation workshops, hence making the workshop as the booster for technical debottlenecking, the incubator for cultivating young talents and the accelerator for driving the process of technical innovation.
