On December 17, FREP Safety of Office and Family Committee (SOFA) successfully held the 2016 “Safety Carnival” themed event in Quanzhou Binhaihuating Residential Community. Chairman and President Gu Yuefeng and Vice President Joost Emmen presented and participated the activities, and gave recognition and praise to the successful implementation of the event.

The “Safety Carnival” themed event was organized by SOFA and was finally unveiled upon careful preparation in more than half a year. It is the first annual event held by SOFA.

The event officially started at 9:00 am. The clear weather and warm sunshine set the tone for the smooth progress of the activities.

There were various safety themed display areas: "traffic safety", "fire safety", "community security", "financial and network security", "electricity safety", "food safety", "campus safety", and "riding safety", with diversified participation ways such as questions, demonstrations, and games. Therefore, the safety knowledge came into the mined in a more interesting way.

In organizing the event, SOFA considered the demands of various ages and provided kids with “magic bubble show”, “changeable balloons”, and “ocean ball paradise” to teach kids to take care of safety in the games through entertainment.

A display area of “medical care” was particularly set for the elders to measure their blood pressure free of charge and guided them to conduct cardiopulmonary resuscitation in an emergency. Also provided are food and beverage areas to offer comprehensive and thoughtful services to those who participated in the event.

SOFA commits to improving all staffs’ safety awareness in the office and at home to establish continuous positive safety thinking, behavior, and attitude, hoping them to further influence their families and friends. Therefore, SOFA invited all the staffs and their families and Big Fulian in the form of safety carnival passport. All staffs and their families actively participated in the said rich and colorful activities, making waves in the site. The edutainment form not only brought happiness to the participants but also taught them safety knowledge.
